Configure notifications on iOS

In iOS, Apple has a dedicated notification channel for important notifications and Elotec IoT is certified to use this channel. This allows the app to deliver notifications even if silent mode or focus mode is activated. In the video, we show you how to ensure notifications from the Elotec IOT app on your iPhone.

Written description:

  1. When you open the app for the first time, there will be a pop-up asking for permission for notifications. You must allow this to receive notifications.
  2. You should then be prompted for "Important Alerts" after notifications are allowed.  By allowing important notifications, the Elotec IOT app will be able to notify you of alarms even if the mobile is in silent mode.
  3. After logging in, go to the device settings by pressing the "gear" in the upper right corner. Then tap "Notifications" and "Add push notifications." Check "Alarm" for the most critical alerts. The "Problems" and "Information" notifications give you additional status on the Elotec IoT system.
  4. Then click on "Save". You will get a notification after saving, confirming the configuration. Elotec IoT will now be able to provide you with important alerts about alarm events. Inside the app you have a full overview of active events and history.
